At age 22 while persuing his MBA at CSUS, Doug joined Northwestern Mutual as a Financial Representative Intern. This career would also provide the opportunity to work with Business Owners, a market Doug found exciting having been raised in a family business. He became the company's Top Intern in 1979 and became a full time Financial Representative in 1980. He feels blessed to have "found his nitche" at an early age.
Doug has a passion to serve others. He traces this value back to his childhood having lost his mother at at age 10. As the oldest of 6 children he learned the importance of teamwork and helping others. He delights in making a positive impact on the financial security of business owners and their families.
Having experienced numerous tragic death and disability claims he takes great pride in being there for his clients as they walk through "the valley of the shadow of death".
Doug celebrated his 30th Anniversary in 2008 with Northwestern Mutual and he considers it a great honor to have earned the enduring friendships, trust and confidence of his clients.
